Michigan in the world
From 2019-2020, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with undergraduate students on a public history project called Michigan in the World. Our research team spent an entire summer at the Bentley Historical Library conducting archival research related to the University of Michigan's role in the US colonization of the Philippines. Over the course of the year, we produced essays meant for a public audience and for K-12 teachers interested in learning more about the history of the University of Michigan, US empire, and the Philippines. We hope that this project can make historical knowledge more accessible. You can visit the site here.
